Lake District 2003

Lake District

We dived in the Lake District over several weekends early in 2003. A small group carried out a couple of check out dives to find out what conditions were like. Subsequently more divers took the plunge!

Divers nearly kitted up. Check out the clear water.

The club's accommodation for one night. Good, clean and a fantastic kitchen.........

..... where the DO did a 'real pukka job!'

.... and then on to Wastwater.

Divers preparing to dive in England's deepest lake. Wastwater is an excellent site for deep water experience prior to diving in the sea.

As a note to Cathy, this NOT Britain's deepest lake. That honour I think goes to Loch Morar at 300 + metres. But don't quote me.

Let me [Gary] know if you know better.
