Lakes Practical Rescue Management 2004

This was an fairly ambitious branch organised PRM. Last year we tried Ellerton water. This year we though we would try Coniston for the PRM. Well we wanted more viz. The arrangment was to run the PRM all day at coniston. Lectures having been done a few days before in the club house. Then after an overnight stay in the Wastwater YHA we would dive Wastwater on the Sunday.

We positioned the Club RIB in the most sheltered place we could find. This was near the steamboat pier. The wind was also quite strong for an inland sheltered site.

A victim in the PRM. He should have got an oscar but we manage to get him and non speaking part.

The pictures shows members of York Sub-Aqua Club enjoying themselves on the course.
Top two pictures are the area where we are doing the scenarios.

The bottom two are where we launch and recover the boat.
The Coniston Boat yard was quite good because we could leave the RIB over night while we disappeared of two Wastwater for Sunday Diving.

After a good breakfast cooked by members of the team, at the YHA, we were off up the road to Wastwater. We expected it to be quiet but it was packed. Under water pictures by Cathy Moore.
